I attended Camp Weequahic for seven years starting in 1955. I remember Art and Mollie Lustig very well. I was the only kid from NY, everyone else was from NJ. I always took part in activities and learned things I never would have learned otherwise, from making a bed to dumping a canoe. The greatest summers of my life were spent at Camp Weequahic!!!

I am so sorry to read about Mac. I’m sorry we never to to meet him at Goldstock. He sounds like the perfect camp dog. Trustworthy, loveable and a bit of a character all in one. I’m sure he will be greatly missed by many. Hugs to you and your family.

To my best recollection your information is not accurate. I never went to this camp but prior to it’s development, the Lustigs operated a day camp in ? Mendum NJ.The family lived in Newark on a street near Hawthorn Ave. Art Lustig Day Camp was a great place in the 1950s.
